Maclaren Triumph Umbrella Child stroller Review article
I can not keep track of just about all of the stories I have heard about moms and dads who buy inexpensive outdoor umbrella strollers - only to 'have to' buy a brand new stroller weeks later.I personally fall into this particular group... My umbrella stroller from Jeep fell apart - the footrest snapped and one wheel broke - leaving me and my child high and dry. We replaced my broken outdoor umbrella stroller with a Maclaren stroller that, unlike my previous stroller, was built to last. Maclaren is a stroller manufacturer from England who's known for their high quality items.
The Maclaren Triumph stroller, made with strong light-weight aluminum, is really a bare-bones umbrella stroller that has a reclining seat. The key advantage that Maclaren offers with all of their own strollers may be the high quality and sturdiness of the materials they often use. I've owned a Maclaren Volo stroller for 4 years and it looks and operates as though it was brand completely new.The handles on the Triumph baby stroller aren't common for an umbrella stroller, they are ergonomically designed to accommodate parents of various heights. Additionally they have foam cushioning that tends to make it comfy for moms and dads to walk.
The trolley wheels on the Triumph stroller are small , plastic, there's really no shock absorption with this stroller - so you will find yourself gravitating to even surfaces. The wheels do swivel so your own turning radius is pretty impressive. My personal daughter likes to be spun around as well as around in her own stroller. The swiveling wheels lock if you prefer a bit additional control - however this is a feature that I by no means use.
The seat on the Triumph stroller is removable - it can be removed and thrown into the laundry to be cleaned. The chair reclines using a great draw-string-like device -- so you can customize your perfect angle of recline. Some moms and dads reported that the seat doesn't recline 100% flat nor does it sit up straight. But the majority of mothers and fathers, in general, loved this particular feature.
The actual canopy, or even hood, around the Triumph stroller is created out of higher quality water-resistant material. The coverage that it offers is at componen with other outdoor umbrella strollers... which is pretty minimal.Thank goodness that a rain cover, with substantial coverage, comes standard with the Triumph. Triumph strollers fold and unfold wonderful. Maclaren calls it the five second fold... I would call it a two second collapse.Pull-up on one latch, step on another as well as drop the stroller - that's it!The stroller instantly locks in its folded placement. And with it's carry straps you can mix this poor boy over your shoulder and off you go.
